Krystal Andrews, 23, was found dead in God’s Lake Narrows.

RCMP are calling the death suspicious

A young woman from Manitoba’s God’s Lake First Nation has been found dead and RCMP are calling her death suspicious.

Krystal Andrews, 23, was found dead in an isolated area on the remote northern Manitoba First Nation on Monday.

Andrews had been missing for three days before her body was discovered, said Tiffany Anderson.

Anderson’s sister Leah was also found dead in God’s Lake in January 2013.

Anderson knew Andrews, and said the young woman lived with her fiancé, two children and three younger siblings.

“I’m wondering if it’s connected to [Leah’s] murder as well,” Anderson said, adding she was “devastated” to learn of Andrews’ death.

Anderson said the community did a ground search for the young woman on Monday and that’s when her body was discovered.
